Indeed, studies of green tea, in particular,
have shown that it has been linked with:
- Enhanced immune system functioning,
- Prevention of normal cells turning cancerous,
- Suppression the formation and growth of tumors,
- Regulation of cholesterol levels,
- Reduced risk of stroke,
- Reduced control blood pressure,
- Reduced risk of epileptic seizures in laboratory
animals,
- Reduced control blood sugar levels, and
- Weight loss.
While many of the claims for the value of the
tea still await further validation - I am always
skeptical when one substance is said to cure everything
- there is mounting evidence that green tea, in
particular, has some very important medicinal
properties including its capability to promote
weight loss.
