His appearance is a perfect cross between El Puma Rodriguez and of the Chilean Leonardo Farkas. His face resembles that of the Venezuelan singer and he sports a blond mane like that of the mining entrepreneur, although less voluminous. That is the first impression one gets from the International Weight Loss Guru, the Columbian, Jorge Hane , who has become famous in the world of "call now" with his Reduce Fat Fast Program (quick weight loss) He became famous by selling nutritional supplements which combine a healthy diet with a home exercise routine.

Although Reduce Fat Fast has been sold in Chile for the past eight years, the International Weight Loss Guru arrived in Santiago to sign an agreement with Ripley to include his product in chain stores and to offer them for TV sales.

The Reduce Fat Fast program is nothing but a "100%" natural nutritional supplement, according to Hane, which is sold together with a recommendation for periodic exercise and a strict, healthy diet.

In Jorge Hane's book " Losing Weight is Easy" he talks about how winter makes you gain weight.

The first chapter stresses that winter makes you gain on average 3 pounds, when days grow shorter, the body needs more nourishment and sleep and less physical activity, which results in weight gain.

According to Jorge Hane this could be due to a stubborn trait left from the days in which we lived in the wild , when one had to prepare for scarcity and the harshness of winter.

How much of the weight loss is attributed to the product and how much is a result of exercise and diet?

A significant part of the weight loss is due to the product but as I always say : "if you eat well and exercise you are bound to lose weight, but if, in addition you take my product , you are going to lose even more weight. If you only take my product, nothing is going to happen, there is no magic here.

In Chile you see a lot of overweight children. As times passes you tend to eat less healthy and exercise less and there are many obese people" predicted Hane, whose Columbian accent is still unchanged, although he has been living in the U.S for the past 30 years.

With this in mind do you consider Chile a good business opportunity for you?

Yes, obviously it is a very good business opportunity for us, but more than that it is about what happens here in Chile. Due to all the changes and improvements the country has gone through it is following the tendencies of more developed countries which is a lot of fast food locations.

Does this happen in all developing countries like Chile?

Absolutely, we see it in China, Thailand, and India where people are starting to eat less healthy food and increasing their portions. They eat a lot more than they use to and definitely not as well. Jorge Hane explains that due to business increase in more and more countries he will be creating a chain of clinics for weight loss with treatments based on the Reduce Fat-Fast program.

Do men take these types of products?

The truth is that in the 78 countries where we sell our products, women are the ones who consume the most. Argentina and India are the only two countries where the sales are equal between men and woman. It seem that they are more concerned with weight issues in those countries.
